- Which of your qualities help you to be successful in your role?
A combination of interest in the success of the company, interest in a good working environment for colleagues forms the basis for my motivation to work for Ter Chemicals with a lot of passion, perseverance, professionalism and tenacity.
- What message would you give the Future Female Leaders?
The Lead the Future program is particularly close to my heart and we have many female participants who are very well qualified to help shape the fortunes of the company. My message: "We are very happy to have you on board - use your skills and your motivation to get things moving and achieve goals and be aware of what you want and what you can do.
Julia Jedlicka
- What did you want to be as a child?
As a child, I really wanted to be a flower seller, that was my big dream. I used to collect wild flowers and make little bouquets at my grandma's in the village and regularly brought my mom flowers from the market after school. I wanted to be outside a lot, create bouquets and arrangements that would bring joy to other people and simply "do something with my hands".
- Which of your qualities help you to be successful in your role?
Mmmh, there are different things. But in my job, it's particularly important to keep several balls in the air at the same time and still keep an eye on the "big picture". So I'm good at keeping an overview and setting priorities. Another important skill is assertiveness - true to the motto "tough on business, soft on people" I try to be guided by this - even if it doesn't always work out
- What message would you give future female leaders?
Be self-confident and be aware of your value and your strengths. Also look for a mentor who will support you on your path, give you honest feedback and help you set the right course.

- As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?
A Vet (I’ve always loved animals)
- What are some of your qualities that help you to be successful in your role?
Having a “There’s always a way” mindset, rapport building and role modelling venerability as a leader, resilience.
- What message would you give to future female leaders?
Back yourself by knowing your strengths and what you have to offer.
Ask for what you need.
Have the confidence to bring your real self to work. You’ll perform better if you do!
Nurture a supportive network to help you when you need it.
Julia Manns
- What did you want to be as a child?
Independent! (laughs). Back then, I had no idea what that really meant and just parroted it back to my mother and aunts at the kitchen table! Having your own bank account, independence and freedom are important and then you can actually do anything you want - this message still applies to me today and I pass it on to my daughter!

Empathy, perseverance, taking responsibility (even for mistakes)

Support other women to be successful!
At every career stage in my life, there were people who believed in me and supported me. I also like to support the people around me, whether they are men or women! I think it's important to see people and create good conditions for them so that they can develop and express themselves. It's up to each individual to courageously follow their own (career) path anyway!
